Airport Shuttle eases travellers’ journeys
Eindhoven, 14th October 2014
The Airport Shuttle has been running between Eindhoven Station and Eindhoven Airport for over a year. The Airport Shuttle is a unique collaborative project between the Dutch Railways (NS), Eindhoven Airport, the Hermes bus company and GWK Travelex. The parties have joined forces to provide travellers with a convenient service and ease their journey.
Over the last year they have worked hard to complete the integrated product and ease travellers’ journeys even more. A number of important steps have now been taken:
Travellers can buy a combined ticket that can be used in buses and trains Displays at the station show flight information to help travellers Passengers arriving at Eindhoven Airport immediately see displays showing information about train times and signage to the ticket machines English-speaking drivers in the bus act as hosts and can answer travellers’ questions and help them further. There is enough room for suitcases in the bus so that travellers can sit comfortably The Airport Shuttle runs straight from the station to Eindhoven Airport and vice versa, without stopping.
This provides a unique total package, which improves the accessibility of Eindhoven Airport: something which is crucial for a fast-growing airport.
