First Eindhoven-Munich flight departs

Eindhoven, 19th February 2016

Today at 18:45hrs marked the departure of the first Transavia flight between Eindhoven Airport and Munich Franz Josef Strauss airport. 

An important economic destination, thanks to the new route, Munich is now easily accessible to business travellers in particular. 

Two flights every weekday will help strengthen corporate connections between Eindhoven's Brainport area and Munich and surrounding areas.

This latest route was inaugurated by (L-R) Joost Meijs (Managing Director, Eindhoven Airport), Wim van der Leegte (Chief Executive of the VDL Group), Rob van Gijzel (Mayor of Eindhoven) and Mattijs ten Brink (Managing Director, Transavia), who cut the ribbon together.
